I’m back, with more good profile picture ideas with examples. Today I’m going to focus on two new picture ideas: interesting pictures and physically active pictures.
A picture doing something interesting or unusual
This could cover a wide range of pictures, and chances are good that you have an interesting or unusual picture somewhere. Skydiving, rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, acting, playing a sport, using a yo-yo, riding an elephant, petting a camel—a picture that stands out will make you stand out.
For my example picture, I’m including an old picture of me next to a gigantic snowman that we built. The snowman is probably about 7’6″, and one of its arms (a branch) is “holding” a metal spike, stuck in the ground, with another snowman’s severed head on top. Sure it’s grainy, and old, and little morbid, but how often do you think girls see a profile picture with a giant snowman?

Look at that long hair!
A picture doing something active
In an earlier post, I explained that women like men who are physically active. You don’t have to be an Olympian, but women want to know that you’re at least reasonably healthy and energetic. More importantly, they want to know that you’re not a couch potato. Couch potatoes are known for being particularly lazy, with a lack of passion and ambition—all notoriously unattractive qualities.
There are other positive connotations associated with being physically active. It hints at several alpha-male characteristics, such as competitiveness and a will to win. Playing a sport, for example as part of an intramural club team, also suggests that you’re social and outgoing. Finally, active pictures can be interesting or unusual, showing you in an unusual or cool place. This picture from my profile is of my friends and me hiking Mount Richthofen in Colorado:

One of those three dots is me!
